Redis Metrics

Introduction

Trace0 provides detailed metrics for Redis, a in-memory key–value database. Metrics are based on the OpenTelemetry semantic conventions for Redis. To view metrics for Redis for a service, click into the Metrics section, click the View more link for your service, then click the Redis toggle.

Displayed Metrics

We currently display the following Redis metrics, broken into Requests and Connection Pools sections. The metrics are displayed either as a single value or as a chart.

For Connection Pool metrics to be available, your Redis client library must first be configured to export them. See Redis’s guide to native OpenTelemetry metrics for client libraries for full details.
